Bedbug (Cimex Lectularius)

 

 

 

Features

 

 

  • 4-5mm long, oval flattened body with mouth parts adapted for piercing skin

  • Red/brown in colour

  • Feeds on blood

  • Female lays 200-500 eggs over a 2 month period (batches of 10-50)

  • Eggs 1mm long and white in colour

  • Complete life cycle from egg to adult takes 2-4 months

Bedbug activity is increasing more and more in the UK.

 

They can infest your property by being brought in on baggage, second-hand furniture, clothing, people or they can travel from adjacent rooms/apartments.

 

If you are unlucky and encounter bedbugs please call the specialists.  By throwing away your bed and mattress will not eradecate your problem.  They can hide in sockets, furniture, clothing, gaps in skirting boards, cracks and crevices etc ............
